Eligibility & Rules |
The purpose of this program is to introduce basic soccer techniques to the players. This league is for boys and girls enrolled in kindergarten, Fall 2002. Teams will be 7 vs. 7 games (including goalie) on a smaller field (20 by 40 yards). NEU Kindergarten teams are only 10-12 players. Teams that are too large mean less playing time and less soccer skill improvement. Kindergarteners want to play, run, and have fun - not sit on the sidelines. |

Please fill out the following form and return by AUGUST 19, 2002. Teams will be organized by Wed. Aug 28th. If you miss the deadline there may still be room for your child on a team. Teams are allowed to add players up to the second game on September 14th. PONY.pdf |

Season |
A six (6) game season will be scheduled spanning eight (8) weekends. Rain out games are rescheduled at the coaches discretion. Games are scheduled to be played behind St. Anns School on Saturdays at 8:15, 9:30, and 10:45am. Game dates are: September 7, 14, 21, 28, October 5, 12. |

Team Organization |
These guidelines are used in forming teams: (1) Available Coaches; (2) School where the child attends; (3) Parent Requests; (4) Area where the child resides; (5) Team Size. We use this information along with information written in the comment section of the registration form to place players on teams. We will try to accommodate special requests by parents. |

Coaches |
We need your help coaching!!! Dont be afraid to volunteer We play a simplified version of the game. You can learn as you go! Parent participation is essential. When no parents volunteer, there can be no team. Those who volunteer to be coaches choose their teams practice schedule. |

Practice |
Teams practice one evening per week. Practice night, location and time are determined by the person who volunteers to coach. |
|
Game Day |
Players will be expected to arrive at their field no less than 15 minutes prior to the start of their game. Shin Guards will be required in order for players to participate. Scores and team results are not kept. All games are played at St. Anns Field located between 71st and 75th Street on Mission Road in Prairie Village, KS. |

Players will be provided a jersey from the club. All players are required to have shin guards when playing soccer. It is recommended that players provide their own water bottle. Shin guards can be purchase at any sporting goods store. |
